OK... This is driving me crazy. I am having a problem burning the 'ole . bin & .cue files on my new Pioneer DVD-R A05. ASPI drivers have been checked with the aspi check and they all seem to work fine, however, it says something that one of the support drivers didn't load.

The problem I am having when CDRwin finally came out with a version that handles these new drives is I get the error Error: 'START DAO RECORDING' command failed on device 1:1:0 Cuesheet was rejected by the CDROM recorder.

I have tried FORCE aspi, new aspi & all ASPI. Needless to say I am stuck. All I want is to burn my images that worked like a charm every time with my old CDR.

    Any ideas..?

This error I have seen posted plenty times with the new drives but I haven't seen or found an answer yet?

(Yes, I posted this in another section too)_X_X_X_X_X_[small]I am old but still going strong!!![/small]

OK.. I do not know what is going on. The Pioneer drive cannont record in DAO format? It states clearly on the Pioneer website that is can. What is wrong? Does this have to do with Firmware or what?

Pioneer owners, please help me. I am running 1.33 Firmware of the Pioneer 104.

Like aldaco12 posted, CDRWin really sucks. For burning audio, use EAC (Exact Audio Copy). For iso& bun& cue=data, use BurnAtOnce. For pc cd protection, use Alcohol 120% for Safedisc 2.0^up. For SecuROM up to 4.8.2, use Alcohol 120% and for SecuROM 4.83& 4.84, use BlindWrite 4.25.
    BurnAtOnce: http://www.burnatonce.com/index.html
    EAC: http://www.exactaudiocopy.de/
    EAC tutorial: http://www.ping.be/satcp/tutorials.htm
BlindWrite 4.25 link is posted on a sticky.

Strange how the Pioneer can't write DAO. Most 2 popular write modes (but not best) are DAO (disc at once) and SAO (session at once). I would post a link for firmware update, but you must be able to tell me what port your Pioneer is on. Flashing your Pioneer with firmware with "possible" errors CAN destroy your drive.

OK... A little while ago I found this little beauty called burnatonce. It works like a charm with Pioneer A05. The pioneer can write in DAO, just not in CDRwin.

Anyway, CDRwin and PIoneer just don't really work well together. We move on!

    Thanks for the answers!

BurnAtOnce is an excellent program and I use it quite often. However, EAC is geared to copy music, correct c2 errors, accurate stream (if applies). Use EAC for music= can't go wrong.
