Tutorial: How To Burn XBox360 Games

alright, i am super new, ive read this whole thread but im not sure if anybody has the same problem as me now.
so here is my situation, ive just got my modified xbox 360 brand new. ive downloaded some games and have extracted them, so now i have 2 files, "blah.000" and "blah.dvd"
ive downloaded DVD Decrypter and imgburn both the latest versions. when i load up the DVDR dl into my drive, the "write" icon for both programs do not light up, is there something wrong with my drive or the software?
oh by the way, i am using the NEC2510A with firmware v2.16...please help me thanks!!!!!! im so stuck!!!!!!!!

I turned off everythings like firewall windows firewall etc.
Its occurs yesterday , 2 days ago I was connecting without any problem, the same situation at work.

damn this is a headache and a half when u can just pay 6 bucks a game lol. but i get the same files aswell 000. and a dvd file. my question is can i use Alcohol 120? when i extract i dont get an iso image but a weird rar file my comp does not recognize. so what games are usually patched already so i can look after it on newsgroups?

I would say it's the 360 drive just doesn't like the media you are using, easy as that.
I don't understand why people don't just use Verbatim all the time, sure they cost a bit more, but even at $3/disc, come on people, you can't complain.

3 bucks a disc is cheap, where do you get them from? rado shack charges like 20 bucks for 3 blank DVD+R out here

WHAT? Give me a break, even at Futureshop where they are expensive you can buy a 20 disc spindle of Verbatim DVD+R DL for $59.99, but a lot of weeks they are on sale for $34.99 there.
Just order them online then.

so is there anyway Alcohol 120 can work with burning 360 games? and are there any other sites that have the ss bins to each game or can i download them all somewhere?

Why bother, just use Imgburn or DVDDecryptor, free anyway.
I recommend checking out http://forums.xbox-scene.com for all the info you could ever want/need.

^thanks, found some verbatim dual layer DVD+R on ebay for good prices. i bought some that i just got in, should i try n use them or just try it with the verbatim?

I only ever use Verbatim and nothing less, so its upto you. do you want good results or unknown results is the question.

yep, i agree. there's been several cases where i've just switched my media to verbatim and the game worked, whereas it wouldn't before ;)

sounds like it would be a d drive issue.. but then again, maybe its just the software.. though i've never had that problem with DVD Decrypter or image burn.. what media are you using? and have you tried CloneCD?

sounds good, ill just try with verbatim. just bought 2 20 packs for 40 each shipped. the ones i have now are office depot.

I have a Mad Dog multimedia Dual Layer burner I purchased from circuit city and I use Memorex dual layer discs burned using DVD Decrypter. No problems yet. So, as you can see, everyone has a preference and a theory as to what works, you will just need to try each way out.

My original copy of gears of war has been snapped in 2 by my son and I am not a happy bunny. Fortunately I have a working backup but need to back this up as well.
How do you make backups of backups?

Good one....take awhile to think of a good excuse? :) HA!
Just use common sense....it works! :)
All you need to do is create an ISO image of the disk using you're DVDR drive, very easily done.

This may be a stupid question, can you use SS that you pull with a KREON drive and xbox backup creator?? Any difference?? If so What?? Speak slowly I am a newbie.
