I followed the instructions of the guide to a T. And all the roms work fine but after I create more than 14 save files the other games without save files will no longer load up. They will ask me if I want to create a save file if I hit yes it will say "create saver/bookmark" and freeze at that screen. If I hit ignore it will load up the game but the screen will remain black. I have 178mb free on a 2gb japanese kingston. I tried taking off games and then retrying to boot games without saved files that did'nt work. Then I tried removing saved files then booting the same games from before and they loaded fine. I counted the amount of saved I had before it stopped working and it is 14. I also checked how many files the card had on a total including the firmware and it was 225 files. I've tried researching it but there is nothing on the web. Also, I have 1 subfolder labled games so they are not on the root directory. I have no other programs such as dsorganize or anything else, just the firmware , moonshell and the games. Please help.

Just purchased the M3 DS Simply and am looking for a cheap 4GB microSD.
I found a 4GB microSDHC on amazon.com and was wondering if microSDHC's are compatible with the M3 Simply.

SDHC cards are not compatible with the M3 DS Simply, your going to have to find a standard card (very rare to find a standard 4GB MicroSD so good luck)

You have to convert the movie file to DPG format. BatchDPG is a good program to do this. Once you have converted the file, just drag and drop it to the memory card. Then you can play it using moonshell.

Ok, i just got the M3 Simply and Im having problems working the themes. I made a theme folder inside the the system folder. inside the theme folder, i made separate folders and added the themes. then when i go on the DS and push select, nothing happens, no changes. I labeled it theme01, 02, etc. Each theme folder also has the .ini file.

what am i doing wrong here??!!

    thanks in advance.

Make sure the folders are named correctly.

Inside the system folder should be "themes" and inside the "themes" folder should be "themeo1" and so on.

Also make sure you have the correct files such as:
    bckgrd_1.bmp
    bckgrd_2.bmp
    icons.bmp
    logo.bmp
    theme.ini

I got it to fix, thanks.

the problem was that in system/themes, i capitalized the "t" in theme when it should be lowercased. jeez all that looking around trying to fix it and that was the problem, lol.

Yes, it works for R4 as well, the application "moonshell" can only play DPG files so you'll have to use BatchDPG to convert all your video files to DPG format.

And only JPEG images are supported by moonshell as far as I know. It's just a simple case of dragging and dropping.

make sure that _DS_MENU.DAT is in your memcard's root directory.

As for a question of my own: I'm actually using an R4, but couldn't find an R4 thread here. The DS doesn't recognize any of my ROMs; it actually doesn't recognize any extension or file except for .SAVs and _DS_MSHL.NDS. I renamed my games, could that be a reason? But also I am having trouble running moonshell; it turns up a bunch of errors:

-Did the setup end normally? what setup?
-is the "/moonshl" folder moved or deleted?[ i]I don't believe so..[/i]
-Have you enabled the resume function with a media that is not supported?no idea what this means.
-Do you have enough free space on your media? doubt it, i have about 300MBs free on my 1GB card
-Please re-format the media and try again. tried this, and reformatted it to FAT32
-Please try with a different media from another manufacturer. I don't think SanDisk should have a problem.

can anybody help me? Thanks in advance! :D

g0ds3nd-the moonshell error, don't worry about it, it's completely normal !
Moonshell throws up the error screen then runs anyway.

As for the files - if you have your PC set to hide file extensions in Explorer, eg it shows "gamename" instead of "gamename.nds", then you rename it as "newgamename.nds", you could have a situation where the file is now called "newgamename.nds.nds" (I think).

Set your explorer to show file extensions and check!
    Let me know.
