hi guyz recently ive noticed that when ive been burning my discs that the speeds seem to change even thou ive been using verbatim 8x discs, but recently i bought a pack of 25 printable verbatim but 16x and when they started to copy it was all fine but it got to 41% in dvd shrink it crashed and the disc was still spinning in the drive to the point where i couldnt eject the disc, finally got the disc out after re-booting and it was red hot said the least, why did this happen ? any ideas, my dvd writer is a 16x dual layer player made ny lite-on, its been working fine up to now, i use dvd shrink with dvd43 or sometimes if the movie is hard to crack i use dvd43 and decrypter, anyway if any has some sort of idea why theres the change in speed even when using the 8x disc which vary from 4x burning right up to 8x , give me a shout many thanks clem
are you burrning at the same time as compressing when your using DVD Shrink? if so open up DVD Shrink and have the output file either Video_ Audio_ts folders or an ISO image then use a burrning program to burn the ISO image. give some more detail on how your backing up the DVD.
hi what i do is put the film into the drive, open up shrink, open disc, then it analysis, then i simply back up whole disc , if i can, then it encodes to about 41% roughly then thats when the trouble has been starting, shame really as i wanted to use this printable discs from verbatim which are 16x , this doenst happen when i use dvd decrypter and dvd shrink together. many thanks for the reply
so you got it to work with DVD Decryptor and shrink then? Yeah if your gonna use DVD Shrink i would sugest ripping the disc with Decryptor before transcoding it down.
