@videoonly, sorry, late in replying. ..there are 3 files in that particular firmware file but the easiest way is to just run the file that you download. All you have to be careful of with updating firmware is the following... Make sure it's the correct firmware for the burner (just getting the obvious one out of the way in case anyone else reads this). Make sure there isn't a disc in the burner. Do not press reset or turn the power off during the firmware update (you can't cater for having a power cut during the update process but firmware updates are usually pretty quick). (well you could cater for power cuts cus you could have a UPS but i digress!).
I tried updating the firmware by running the above mentioned exe. But the firware is not getting updated. Creaky, you have any idea?
i downloaded the firmware from the link you have have given and ran it.when i tried the simulation in Nero, the simulation failed and in the log i see that the firmware is not still updated. Hope this clarifies. please help.
