my cd and dvd drives wont work! They don't show up on the My Computer window, so I went to device manager to see what was wrong and it said that the driver cannot be located. Both drives said the same thing.

What can I do to fix this? My computer is a Dell XPS 600.

is there an error message or exclamation mark in device manager? does the motherboard see the drives? try re-seating the ide cable on both drives. what are the 2 drives jumpered as in master, slave or cable select??
