copy from dv camcorder to dvd

    I have a Canon ZR50 and am copying my dv tapes to my Samsung DVD-R120.

    With all my HI8 tapes and VHS tapes I had no problems copying.

    However everytime their is a slight pause (or break) in the vidio action from the DV camera the Samsung will hang up and create a coaster. It didn't do that with the HI8 and vhs tapes. I think the signal goes dead on the Canon when that happens.

    Is their a way to keep the signal alive on the Canon?

    I updated the firmware on the standalone Samsung and that solved the problem......
