    Hello,
I am wondering if there is a pay to burn a movie that I have recorded off my TV using the Windows Media Center 2005. I have hooked up my PC to my Dish Network reciever and I am able to watch the movies now on my computer but I would like to be able to burn it to a DVD so that my whole family could enjoy the movie. Is this even possible. I have the file saved on my hard drive - it opens with media player. I tried just grabbing the folder and using DVD Shrink but I get an error message. The question seems so simple that there should be an easy way - but I am a beginner and just starting to figure this stuff out.
    Thanks,
    Mossymo

    Hi mossymo,

Yes this can be done but you will need to convert the video file you recorded first I have a complete guide at my website that shows you exactly how to do this. The software you need is also at my site. The link in in my signature, but here is the direct link to the guide that will help you the most http://home.comcast.net/~bbmayo/DivXtoDVD.pdf

Another little hint if you get VirtualDub you can first edit out all the comercials ;-)

    Cheers
