I have vacation pictures that I want to burn on a CD using "Nero 6 Ultra Edition" , I have well over 200 pictures. When I add them to my compilation from my browser, it will only allow me to copy 99 pictures (less actually, because it creates it's own files and it says you can only have a maximum of 99). With 99 files I'm only using a fraction of the CD's capacity (CD-RW 650 MB)and the program won't allow me to add to the burned CD without reformating it (so I'll lose the first pictures). The way it's going now, I can't add files to an already burned CD (although it's rewritable) and I can't fill the CD to even close to capcity, because it's limiting the number of files I can burn at once. The way I'm going I'm going to have CDs that have used only 75MB of memory. I'm a real novice at this, is there something obvious I'm missing? Why can't I copy as many files as I like (as long as there is room)at one time to my CD???

Data??? I'm not sure what you mean??? I used the picture/video icon from the menu and proceeded from there. Can you help?? Why is it limiting me to 99 files??

    i don't do phot cd's, however a tiny figure like 99 files can't possibly be a limitation...

need more info/errors to go on...

I would have to try again, but I don't think it gives an error message (per say) it just says that I can't have more than 99. It will burn the 99, but it's just ridiculous that it will only allow me to do that tiny amount

OK, I tried it again. I tried to copy all my files (104) from one file in my browser (I need to add more to that from another file). It copied up to the 99 and then posted this warning message "maximum audio files allowed in a compilation is 99 files, OK" then it keeps popping up with a smaller message "the maximum number of entries in the audio compilation is 99, OK". I have to keep pressing the OK icon until it goes away, then I'm left with a total of 99 files including the multiple menu files that Nero created. I don't know what it means by "audio compilation"??? I'm doing a video/picture CD.

It is my understanding that the cap of 99 pictures is "per chapter"-You can have up to as many as 6 (I think) on a dvd-not sure about cd,though. What you should do is breakdown your pictures into seperate piles, sorted by date/city/event, whatever. As you make each new chapter, you click on a specific chapter, hit the edit button and this will allow you to add transitions, music etc-on a "chapter by chapter" basis. I did this a a memorial disc when my Dad died last year-Played it before the service-it played straight through all 6 chapters(meaning that just because there are chapters does not mean that the disc stops at each chapter, and you have to hit play again.)
