how to burn a avi file to dvd

    write now im using express 3 to burn my avi file movies over to
    a dvd -r disk to play in my dvd player this works ok but it takes like and hour and a half to do is there any way to speed up the burn time the disks are 16X and the player is 16 times why does it burn them so slow ive already checkd the dma its ok or is there a way to burn avi files using nero 6 express it seems to burn in about a short time but only does dvd files any body got any clues how to burn the movies faster ive played with the speed test and all that . help thanks again larry newbie

    Use VSO DivXtoDVD (FREEWARE Version) to convert them quicker and more succesfully then Nero.

    the dvd player i use is x box and a toshiba cheapy the burner i got is a sony 800 burner with 16 times comes with nero

    i dont know what the x-box does and does not support, so i may not be able to help you there. but you also want to do your burns at 4x or less, irregaurdless what the media says, gets you a better end result and reliable too. try nero's burning rom instead of express. but either way, it will still need to be encoded so it can play, and NVE does take time to re-encode, but the burn is fairly quick, depending on pc specs.
