    Hi there,
I'm having trouble burning VOB/IFO files to dvd-r. I have tried using Nero and making a data disc but it won't read in my dvd player. Is there something I'm forgetting to do? Do I have to convert files first? If so, to what format? I don't have this problem burning ISO files. Someone please help. Thank-you!

    Hi there,

With nero, burn a Video DVD.

It will auto create 2 directories for ya
Can be done manually also as a Data DVD)

    AUDIO_TS
VIDEO_TS <--- This is where the .IFO/.VOB files need to be, else your DVD Player will NOT play your DVD !

Use quality media and burn slow, 2x or 4x MAX. This will prevent PlayBack issues on some DVD players.

I don't think I have that option. I have Nero OEM suite. Can this still be done on it? If so, how?

    Hi there,

On your HD, create 2 dirs:

    AUDIO_TS
VIDEO_TS <--- This is where the .IFO/.VOB files need to be

    Then burn a Data CD.

    As stated earlier:

Use quality media and burn slow, 2x or 4x MAX. This will prevent PlayBack issues on some DVD players.

Put everything in your VIDEO_TS folder (all of you .ifo, .vob, & .bup files). Also make sure you name your two folders with all CAPS. AUDIO_TS is not for a Video DVD. I think it is used for Audio DVDs, but I am not familiar with that part of DVD Burning.

Thanks guys. I don't have Nero Burning Rom but I'll download it and try it. Thanks again for all the help. I'll check in again if I have any probs.
