I am trying to make a copy of a DVD that a friend made from his camcorder.
The disc I am trying to copy from is a +R DVD, and the burner I am using is a Pioneer DVR-105.
I am using SmartRipper to rip, and than trying to burn using Nero.
I get what seems to be a successful burn, but will not play in any DVD player I have.
This is the first time I’ve had a problem making a backup, but it is also the first time I am copying from a +R DVD.
Can you use the files that are ripped from a +R disc on a –R disc?, or is there something else going on that I should be looking at?
    Thanks for any help…

There is no difference in the actual file format between a +R and -R burn after the files are ripped to the HD. Did you try a straight disc copy within Nero only? Open Nero, click Copy Complete Disc, insert the -R blank when Nero tells you to. Shouldn't be any problem.
