I have just got a dvd drive. Can someone tell me how to rip a movie to the computer in avi format that will fit on 1 cd? I have seen this done before, so I know its possible. I have tried to do this with the movie "Pitch Black" and the program "Super DVD Ripper", but could not get what I wanted. All I could get was mpg files that were 300mb for 15 mins of movie. Should I use this program or pick another? Please help me with these problems.

You will need some type of DivX software to do that. If I still had the software I would tell you what I used. I remember having flask mpeg, but the name suggests mpeg outputs. I also had dvd2avi (or maybe dvd to avi). You could check out http://www.divx-digest.com or do a software search here in AD.
