    hi guys
    i`m offically shattered and need help.
    i got my av 420 and have been trying to load dvds onto it.

    I run DVD decrypter in I mode and then use AGK. But keep getting "Video Compression Error. The image format is not acceptable (error code -2)".

    Then i use VirtaualDub and it runs ok, but when i load it to the Archos it says the file is corrupt or incomplete"" even though it runs ok on my PC?? HELP

    You sure you are putting it in the right format?

    For a video file to run on your Archos, it must meet the following criteria:

    Audio: MP3 Constant Bit Rate (CBR)
    Video: Encoded with DivX (Xvid will often not work) and maximum width of 640 pixels
    File: Maximum size of 2GB

    I normally encode movies at 640 pixels wide, audio is 128kbps @ 48KHz and I set the file size at around 700MB per 2 hours. This gives a quality that is more than acceptable for viewing on the Archos's small screen.
