I've had my LG GSA4163B dvd-writer since April and haven't been able to get it to write a single DVDShrink ISO image since buying it. I've tried all sorts of things to try to get it to work (using DVDDecrypter/Nero to burn, different discs etc...). I've just installed the latest A105 firmware, no improvement. The drive will write CDs and DVDs no problem, its just when trying to write a re-encrypted disc it will always get stuck on 0% writing.

    jwtrading ,
The easiest way fo me to do this is to rip the movie to the HD using DVDDecrypter ( all of the files)

Then bring up Shrink and either re-author the movie or do whole disk

Click Backup> target device> select backup target> click that and then make sure a check mark is next to Create .iso image file and burn w/ DVDDecypter

thanks for your suggestion - unfortunately I've already tried this on many occasions. I think there must be something wrong with either the drive or how I've installed it.

    So, the writer does work.

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling Decrypter and Shrink?
(Once done, delete all the files made by both proggies and restart process from the beginning.)

    Good Luck!
