All I have now are DVD Shrink & Decrypter, plus X-Copy Platinum before Hollywood messed it up.

Sometimes these won't backup some dvds, like Hitch & House of Flying Daggers.

Some tell me That the recode part of Nero6 Ultra will compress & burn(?)
    these difficult movies.

But what about Roxio software & others?

What have you used & found to work the best for these difficult-to-backup movies?

    Thanks

The part of Nero you want to use is Nero Recode2. It will encode/compress/burn your files. However, Nero does not recognize copy protected movies so you will either have to rip first with DVD Decrypter or DVD Fab Decrypter or run AnyDVD or DVD43 in the background. Recode is basically like Shrink, same developer, but is faster. As far as Hitch and HOFD I used Decrypter to rip those movies and Recode to compress and burn with no problems. I cannot comment on Roxio I had it years back and it caused a lot of problems started using Nero and never wanted to see Roxio again. You can also use Decrypter to rip and open your Xcopy to compress and burn if you want. There are a lot of various combinations. I have found the two best are AnyDVD and CloneDVD these programs are at a bargain price and are supported and Clone is very versatile in authoring. Just my two cents.
