Okay, earlier I created an .iso of the first disc, the one containing the movie using dvd decryptor. Now to fit it onto a DVD+R 5 I use Dvd shrinker to burn the iso. When i click the "Backup!" Button DVD shrink tells me it has encountered an exception error and closes. I haved backed up a few DVD's before and this is the only one that gives me that error. And I am beginning to think the problem lies in the original disk. Can anyone confirm this for me please? I would really appreciate it.

Oh and my burner is a LITE-ON SOHW-1673S And it has the latest firmware upgrade. And i am running windows xp SP2.

I'm having the same problem. It must be related to the disc and dvd shrink. I've tried everything to get this dvd to burn

I had problems with this too...I even had AnyDVD running in the background. Finally just decided to Reauthor using Shrink and get around the protection.

    Good luck!

try backing it up with dvd fab or dvd43 both are free programs and then shrink with dvd shrink it may be caused by the encryption on the disc dvd decrypter is no longer being updated and it cannot work on all discs you can use dvd decrypt to burn the dvd

CloneDVD and AnyDVD did it easily.
