I used Shrink and ripped a movie uncompressed, and then opened RB. Proceeded to use QuEnc, because I was having trouble with the CCE settings. Went through the whole process about 2 hours and then went to burn and got a file that was too big. What did I do wrong, and how do I change this? The rebuilt Video file came out 4.8
there can be numerous reasons for oversized output files maybe we should try and get hc or cce to work for you?
I finally did get both HC and CCE working and have left off using the Qenc. Both of the others work extremely well and have great quality. Thanks for responding, you have been most helpful both with your guides and all your input.
i'm glad you finally got everything to work the way you wanted to and i'm sure you wont regret the time you spent on dvd rebuilder
No got so hooked on the program once I got it working that I purchased a whole new comp, can't wait to see how it will work out. It has a SATA drive in it and I want to put another in, I am hoping this will speed things up. Do not know too much about how SATA operates so I guess I will find out. Again, thanks for your encouragment.
being able to spread your workflow across two or more physical drives is always an improvement in case your pc has to read from drive c where your operating system is stored as well as the dvd raw data and having to write to this very same drive even sata will be slowed down so an additonal drive will always improve speed but it wont be truely necessary spreading the data across drive c => d => e or c => d => c will be helfull for ide drives just as much especially preparing and rebuilding will speed up considerably when working with more than one harddrive
I did not realize about spreading between two drives until I read more on RB, and I just converted my second HD today from Fat32 to NTFS. Since I will not be getting the new on for a few more days I plan to do a project tomorrow and test out the difference in this area. On this PC it takes a little about 2 and a half hours using 1 drive for the whole process with 2 passes and CCE in 1click mode and movie only.
if you want to save yourself some conversion time, use HC or CCE with OPV mode this will cut your encoding time down considerably and still should provide you superb quality ^_~ been testing cce and hc 016 test release 2 with this a little lately and i'm waiting for hank315's latest release to do some more testing
I gotta say I am impressed with HC, once I got it working. It is really comparable to CCE, and it is free. My hat is off to Hank for a really great program. Will give your advice a go.
