I don’t know if this “doable”.

I’m wondering about putting a backup of two discs onto a single disc. The question concerns the movie "The Color Purple". When I backed it up, I put it on two discs because that was the original format. Could it be that I could have compressed the two to fit together on a single disc? Probably not --- just thought I’d ask.

@madhotdam, Going along with gamename Nero can, but Shrink can also be used to place two disks onto one, I have also used Intercopy 3, CloneDvd2, Recode 2, and my favorite is Dvd2one...You can have seamless or non-seamless. I have used this to place a two sided movie onto onesinlge layer...works flawlessly. I did this with the Band of Brothers series...backing it up to 2 dl's, and 1 single layer. 5 disks to 3 has been great. I used the seamless and each episode foloows the other with only short message of each title of the episode. I like shrink as well...free and actually quite easy to use. ANy questions just let us know.
