Got a question about the nero encoder. I have read many posts, and the general conclusion seems to be that the Nero encoder is pretty weak.

In all my searching, I cannot find a Specific example of why the encoder is considered as such. I am still learning from aD's members everyday, but now feel I require some specific schooling.

I realize this is "unofficial," but any posts on the subject would be appreciated.

    Basically:

    1) It says it works with many video formats (e.g. avi, wmv), but there are avis and wmvs that it cannot read while other programs can.

    2) There are also videos that it has problems encoding all the way, while other programs can finish the job quite easily.

    3) Some other programs often encode faster than Nero.

No problem. That said, when Nero works, it's great, and I do like it a lot myself.

I have had some cases with Nero, that after it encodes the audio will be out of sync with the video.

I use nero all the time, and this only happens with shows I record off of TV. Is there any reason for that? Or is it something I am doing?

    Thanks,

    JP
