Eurovox Max problem

A box appears saying "Waiting for the response from your receiver" and it goes no further.

 

then you either are using the wrong cables or you havn't got your box set to the right com port look in here for some info http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/653745#3964196

 

you need to plug your box back into the mains after you see this you are prob taking to long to do it

as soon as you see that plug the receiver back into the power

 

Now when i plug it in the two green lights meantioned at the start of my thread go in a clockwise circle and disappear,showing no lights at all on the box.

 

dosn't sound good it may need jtagging i'll leave you to it with cyborcop noticed he knew something about this yesterday

 

Looks like im using an rs232 cable,which i use for my starview,seems this doesn't work with the eurovox,many thanks for everyones input,time and patience.

 

All the cables are the same if it works on the starview it should work on the euro as they take the same cable

are you sure that the box is not a clone box

 

the same cable works for both boxes i no you said its a genuine box but it looks to me that you put genuine firmware on a clone.

 

go to the eko site and see if you can get the clone safe firmware for the blue box on to your box if you cant you might need to get it jtaged try that first and see it is a separate loader and firmware for the clone box

 

I have the voxer uploader but i dont know what is the clone firmware?

sorry mate i dont know anybody over there but i am sure there is someone there that will fix it

 

cyborcop or any of the experts could you tell me what tuning in the eurovox means. my sister had a eurovox max v flashed and the guy said to her that its ok the software loaded into it but you probably will have to re tune it. she is on ntl in dublin and its an original box, but she cant get any stations.thanks.

Original what box, Blue Red or MaxV black - just go to the link here and read from Step 5 - but plug the box in complete with live cable feed and see what state it is in i.e. if channels are there - if so it may just require an update - Menu go to Installation then User Installation OK enter 0000 and press red button.
