Thanks for the input earlier. My new problem is that I have just one drive (the HP dvd writer... dvd 300i). I use DVD Decrypter to put the DVD stuff (not really DVD-RW literate...excuse me) into a file. I then change the Mode from Read to Write and insert a blank DVD-R. It then tells me that my DVD-R may need to be formatted. I've tried to format from the My Computer screen by right clicking on the D: drive and going to open. Then it says "disk needs to be formatted" and "Would you like to format disk now". I click yes, and the computer tells me that it cannot format the disk in drive D:. Can someone please help me or point me in the right direction before my computer ends up in the front yard. I'm gonna totally go Office Space copy machine on this thing. Thanks.
You can't format a blank DVD-R disc you can only format DVD-RW Same as DVD+R you cant format that. You can only format a DVD+RW disc. RW=Rewritable. -R and +R are not rewritable.
