Okay, I think I need to update my firmware, but wanted to get your opinions on the subject. I use Shrink and Decryptor on a one year old top of the line Vaio. It word perfectly, but I have recently encounterd "I/O Device Errors" while trying to burn Ray, Finding Neverland and White Noise. But, I am able to re-burn movies I ripped a few months ago, such as Zoolander. I use Verbatim DVD-R discs and I have searched these forums for two hours, but have not discovered my problem. Also, I set the Shrink to 4300 and have used Scuba's guide, including uninstalling/reinstalling the softward, but to no effect. Any help would be much appreciated. Why would an old movie ripped before still work, but a newly ripped movie would not work? Also, I took your advice and googled the firmware, but I found this same subject on this board. hi the disc that works and the disc thaqt doesnt are they the same type? re id codes inside the discs? also uninstall the drives in device manager and the ide controller and reboot your pc!
