Help i dont get it

A few weeks ago i purchased a dvd from new york i needed to make a copy for someone so the first thing i done was
1,ripped it to hdd
2,burnt it to disk
I played it back on the computer and it played 100%
then i played it on a multi region dvd player and it came up in black & white so i figured it must have some sort of encoding so i burnt it again this time useing dvd shrink and it still plays in black & white on a dvd player can anyone please help me solve this problem i would really apriciate it

Could be a PAL / NTSC issue - different formats.

Try the p/n button on your remote control

not sure on a full dvd? i know on a mian movie only dvd...
