Exactly! Thank you mkaseatgb. This stuff is everywhere at AD so how can you say they don't appreciate it. I'm just trying to tell you guys that it's real and you should try it. Try to help some people out and I get my ass bit off for it.

I don't think they appreciate it, its just that a free website like AD has to pay for itself somehow, and they use advertising as their source.

What you posted is probably ok. Hes not spamming because its nnot like hes trying to get referrals or anything, hes just trying to tell other people about the site and see what they think. But all-in-all, its up to the mods.

Im not editing that the mods know how i feel, they hate when they spammers give these links that say like free ipod mini free psp or ps3 ,THEY HATE SPAMMERS ,

I'm not a spammer cause I'm not getting paid. This is just for other people. It's like on the DVD media thing part of AD people can post that they heard a sale is going to alert other people to it. Mods don't seem to mind that.

What hes giving out is a website which probably works, its just complicated and most people just dont have the time to do it. Its not up to you to decide whether or not hes spamming AD or anything. Hopefully a moderator will be here shortly to close this thread.

a mod will most likely agree that this qualifies as spam. don't post any of those "free this" and "free that" BS offers around here. we don't care how many points you have or what you're getting; it doesn't belong here.

Your not a mod and your not going to be anytime soon so how about you just don't worry about it and if a mod doesn't want it they'll close the thread.

Obviously that site wont get you a free PS3, but im sure it has crappy little gifts you can get for signing up for millions of free trials.

i'm no mod, and i won't argue with one, as they have better judgement, more authority, and, overall, they outrank me (as well as have my full respect), but i do think any mod on any day would concur with our stand. i don't think GlueEater will be banned, and i don't think he should be, as this is his first strike. he seems to have good intentions and a slight respect for the rules, but i do bet he's made the list.

to answer the question in the post below me, AD doesn't chose what it advertises. they rent out space, and the renters (i think it might be google, not sure) picks and chooses what to advertise, based on the theme of the site. AD has no real control over what is advertised, as they are just trying to maintain an income to pay for the equipment, services, and maintainence required for the site's upkeep. drd himself as posted about how he wishes they could get rid of the ads, but the little ugly things are necessary. ignore them, or find an ad-blocker if you don't like them that much.

And Glitched, not everything out there is complete crap. I actually got myself a free PSP but i'm not giving any links or anything cuz I don't want you to have a heart attack. Lots of stuff out there is a scam, but lots of places will give you stuff, you just have to do a bunch of crap to get it. I got a coupon for a free Mcflurry at McDonald's in the mail the other day and I took it there and sure enough I got my Mcflurry for free :). Yea a Mcflurry is only $3, but my point it you can get free stuff without it being a scam. Also, I understand Afterdawn's position on these free stuff links, because they would turn this site into a mess. I don't know for sure but that's probably the only reason they don't want the free stuff links because some are legit. I'm sure at least 1 moderator on here has done one of these free sites themselves.

I'll tell you why, because aD makes money to support itself and keep this site free for it's users because of the revenue from advertising. It could easily charge people membership fees, or have a billion pop-ups, etc, etc, but it doesn't. Instead we have minimal advertising which the company's pay for. It's when lowlife bastards come along and try to advertise for free, or show you ads about free Ipods and shit that you dont want to see is when we get pissed. I'd say little ads here and there mixed in with the threads is pretty damn small compared to alot of forums out there with less info and worse people.
