No audio gets transfered

I've been meaning to ask this since I go the camera 2 years ago. Hopefully this is the right forum to ask this in.

I've been wanting to transfer the video to DVD recently but I forgot about this problem

I've have a Sony TRV-250. When I transfer video to the comp there is no audio. Might be a stupid question but shouldn't that get transfered through the USB, or do I need an audio cable for the mic input?

I've tried it on a few computers, 2 desktops and the new Laptop, but for some reason the audio doesn't get transfered.

You already answered your own question ;-).
You should not use the USB to capture. Use the Firewire connection and you should be fine.

Just using the cable it came with. Never thought that would be a problem since it came with it.

Yeah, most camcorders do not come with a Firewire cable.
FYI: the USB streaming is more intended for using your camcorder as a webcam.
