i burned a data dvd using maxell+(the one manufactured by hitachi mij) on my io magic external dvd burner, but very unfortunate my laptop(toshiba a75-s206) cannot read it.

i tried on my desktop and it read it perfectly
i also did it with verbatim+ with the same burner and my laptop dvd rom read it flawlessly.

    please help thanks in advance

    hi

sounds like you need a firmware update to the drive from the makers website, for allowing more reading of dvdr's.......

what is the spec name and version of the drive?

you can use dvd decrypter on tools / drive / firmware update to check too!

it will take you to a website
