I'm having a problem with audio/picture sync after burning a DVD. I must admit that I am new to burning DVD's - I've only ever compiled & edited CD's before now, so please accept my apologies if I sound stupid!!!

I've been using Intervideo WinDVD Creator 2 to Edit, Author & burn DVD's. Everything is fine as I go along - I've created the menus, chapters, etc and when I run the Author Preview I can actually see how the finished DVD should look. At this stage everything is great - no problems. Audio and picture run smoothly and in sync. I can flick through the various chapters and work through the menu. However, when I burn the project to DVD the audio and picture are out of sync. It's really driving me insane!!

I've tried playing the burnt DVD on various DVD players to make sure that it wasn't just my PC's player but the results are the same - audio and picture don't match.

I've done the usual checks before burning - closing the programs running in the background, disabling Anti Virus, screensaver, etc.

I've looked through some of the forums on the Net for some ideas on how to get round the problem and haven't really found anything that helps. I've seen references to software called VirtualDub, VideoRedo, etc and I was wondering if anybody here can recommend these or suggest similiar programs.

Sorry for rambling on like this but it's really frustrating (and I felt really pleased with myself after Editing & Authoring!) I really would be most greatful for any help or information anyone can give me.

    Thank You.

How fast are you burning them?

What kind of media are you using?

What is the media ID of the blank media you are using?

    Are you using adhesive labels?

Burning Speed: I've tried the "Optimal" setting and also tried 8X setting.

Media Type: Copy of a DVD. "VIDEO_TS" containing VOB, BUP, IFO files.

Media ID: DVD+R Verbatim DataLifePlus discs.

    No labels.
