    reinstall your OS.

Missing NTLDR means you have no Operating System.

Try a Repair with the XP CD...

    1. Insert XP disc and boot from it on startup....
    2. Let setup load...
    3. Press enter
    4. Press F8
    5. See if Setup detects a current install, if it does then...
    6. Press R for repair

If not you might need to format the drive (all data will be wiped!)...

    1. Insert XP disc and boot from it on startup....
    2. Let setup load...
    3. Press enter
    4. Press F8
    5. See if Setup detects a current install, if it does then...
    6. Press ESC key to go to partition view...
    7. Press D for delete
    8. Press ENTER to make sure...
    9. Press L to make sure again...
    10. Press ENTER to format drive
    11. Select QUICK Format
    12. Let setup continue and just follow the on screen instructions

make sure you are not booting on another drive or USB device by mistake, unplug any external devices such as card readers or usb drives.
