Using NVE ver 3.1.0.16 I burned 3 AVI files to DVD. One of them always has sound/video sync problems, the other 2 are ok. I've tried with 'Smart encoding' on/off. I've installed the latest Xvid codec. That one file always has sync problems. Any ideas would be really appreciated.
I have had the exact same problems. However, some have been solved by rendering the AVI through Virtual Dub first.
You may also try use VSO DivxToDVD (free version) to convert the avis to dvd compliant format to see if things are better. With VSO, you can add several avis before hitting 'convert': http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/video_encoders/vso_divxtodvd_free.cfm Good luck!
