I decided to buy a new video card since my peice of junk Radeon 9200SE is not making me happy anymore, never made me happy to begin with. anywho i was just hoping i could get some advice from some of you guys that know whats going on.

    My specs are:

    AMD Athlon XP 2500+
    Asus A7V8X-X Motherboard
    2x 512MB DDR Ram (1GB)
    RADEON 9200SE 128MB
    160BG HDD 7200RPM Maxtor

    and i found a RADEON 9600XT 256MB for about $119.00

The MAIN reason i want to upgrade is because i want to play BF2 so do you think this Video Card is good enough to play the game on decent graphics?

also will that video card even run on my system properly?

    Thanks alot.

It should run BF2 decent, as long as you dont plan on crankign the resolution on high. As long as you have the available slots on your mobo, you should be fine.

That will work fine, but like mkaseatgb said you won't be able to run max settings & high a rez but it will still be enjoyable :)
