I just bought a new camcorder Panasonic PVGS31. This is my first camcorder and am confused with what mini DV tapes to buy. I bought some JVC DVM60ME. But I also saw some DVC and MDV as well. Can someone please clarify what these letters mean and what is the best brand to buy?

    Thank you

Your manual will tell you the type of tapes to use.

I ve bought Maxell, Sony and TDK so far. The best for me was SONY mini-DV tapes (numerous re-recordings without loss, pixel, jerky factors) and TDK the worst because after 2-3 re-recordings the videos are starting to get jerky and pixelated.

    Gimme.
