    Hey guys,

I've tried searching the forums, but I don't see anything to what I'm looking for.

Is there a place to go to check if a particular urner is compatible for booktyping/bitsetting? I've searched and can't find anything.

Also, is there a way to booktype in Nero or are DVD Decrypter and DVD Shrink my only options for the programs I have?

What is the make and model of your burner and yes you can booktype in Nero dependant on the burner and program used.

    TSSTcorp CD/DVDW TS-L532R

I plan on using Nero OEM to do the burn.

    hi

as mentioned check your drives out at the makers websites!

also some burners with newer and maybe hacked firmware can make a drive booktype, booktype is to change a +RW +R to a dvd-rom format (more compatible in stand alone players)

    dvd decrypter can booktype

    also you can use DVDinfopro

    Hi Rotary
I hope you have not rotated at work too much ........
Please help me with an explanation: the term booktype - what does it mean. You explayned before that a DVD drive +RW +R unit can - prior some prerequisites - be changed to a DVD ROM format.
Still, I don't click. DVD Read Only Memory - that's an ordinary disk.
I'm sure I miss one or more basics.
    Please help me out.
    thanks

Some of teh older DVD players ,esspecailly teh PS2 or Xbox, can't play DVD+R not DVD-R. You you "booktype" it to DVD ROM which is the Universal booktype so it can be read in all players. Only DVD+R can booktype not DVD-R. And for future refrences it is also commonly called bitsetting.
