dvd rar files

    ive downloaded a dvd with rar files and im not sure how to burn this kind of file. do you know what i should do to burn it on to dvd?

    Rar is a compression format like zip. It has nothing to do with video except it can compress large files. Download any compression app that
    can "unrar" rar files. I use UltimateZip but there are a bunch that will work. If there are .par or .par2 files with the .rar files then you can check and repair the rar file set with QuickPar freeware or something similar.

    When you "unrar" the files then you'll get whatever was compressed.
    If it's DVD then usually a VIDEO_TS folder or an .iso image.

    But, when you "unrar" the files if it is an .exe file, think 3 times before you double click. lots of nasty stuff out on the internet.

    Just throwing somthing else in. All you need to do is unzip the first file in the list.

    So if you have RAR files with .001, .002, .003 etc etc you would choose .001 to unzip and that will then unzip the rest into the ISO or VIDEO_TS or whatever it is in the ziped file. You dont have to unzip the rest.
