I have noticed that when I install Nero 6 on my computer it makes my computer act weird. For instance now when I put my computer on standby mode it comes out of standby mode by itself within seconds.Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

    Thanks in advance.

If you say which version of Nero exactly (e.g the build) and the Version of windows, Home? Pro? SP1? SP2?
May be more people will be able to respond.

If you are running Nero 6 with Windows XP Home/Pro with SP2, then there is your problem.

I had the same problem. I had a fresh install of SP2, and Nero. Nero didnt want to even burn anything! And didnt let my PC go into standby.

I suggest that you wait for some more answers before uninstalling Nero though.

Nero 6 works perfectly fine with XP Sp2. run Nero's info-tool and paste the output here, hopefully it will help to pinpoint the problem

without anything to go on i don't know. i have helped out on (literally) 1000s of logfiles in my time on this forum, and most have been SP2 systems... so i know Nero's fine on Sp2 - what i don't know is the proportion of Pro and Home, never looked into that side of it

It's Nero 6.6 according to the box and I am running SP1 on windows Xp home edition.

Nero said it's not a problem on their part but everytime I install Nero it won't let my computer stay on standby mode and constantly comes out of sleep mode by itself within seconds.
