Not new to modding but new to the Xbox scene, I have a modded PS2 so was looking for some general guidance.
I have a few questions like:

Is there a program that will allow me to hook the Xbox HD directly to my PC and read it? sort of like Winhiip for PS2?

If not what are the alternative ways to transfering games onto the Xbox without using a a backup or FTPing?

Also how long does it take to transfer a full game threw FTP?
I'm assuming less then 50kbs speed threw a router on DSL but you tell me!, Thanks

There are Aplications that you can add after soft moding or hard modding your Xbox which will let you put in an Xbox game into the Xbox drive and then rip it directly to the Xbox drive.

If you want to make a disc backup of the game you need to FTP from your Xbox to your computer and use the Xbox DVD-drive to FTP the information to your computer which then you use a program like Quix to make an xISO of the game to burn and play.

If you download Xbox games you can uasly just burn the image file to disc or you can exctract the folder and files from the xISO and then FTP the folder to your Xbox hard drive.

Uasly it takes me an avrage of 5 minutes to FTP a game in size of around 2gigs to my XBOX going threw a router.

If you plan on ripping the games to your Xbox hard drive then it is best to upgrade the Xbox hard drive size. My orignal Xbox drive was 8 Gigs and I upgraded to 300gig.

there are 2 ways to mod your Xbox

    Soft modding (game exploit)

    hard modding (Mod Chip)

    Below is a softmoding site:

when i got my xbox modded they put unleash x on it and theres an option that allows you to rip a game straight to the e: or f:.it can take 2mins to 15mins depending on the size of the game.i got an 80 Gb hdd but a 300GB would be good.Im going for an extra 160GBs for now.

they also put some emulators with roms and skins(backgrounds)on it some of them hot semi naked women.I also got a dvd program,dvd2xbox and alot of other stuff like file explorer so you can remove unwanted files.Ive added a few new skins and getting snes emulator and ps1&2 emulator as well as maybe a new mame/neogeo and arcade emulator.
