I started another message below called "Please Help!!!" in which I discovered that the adhesive labels I have been putting on my burned DVD's have been causing my DVD player to overheat and skip. My next logical step is to remove all of the labels from my DVD's.

I thought about just adding this question to the end of my last post, but I figured it was starting to get off on a tangent, and I decided to start a new post.

Does anyone have any recommendations to getting the labels off of DVD's? I tried alochol to get off the sticky gunk after I removed the top layer with warm water, but it honestly just made a huge mess of things. I might have been able to get everything off eventually, but it would have taken quite a bit of elbow grease. The thought of having to do that with 60+ DVD's doesn't sound like a whole lot of fun.

So I looked around online for a bit and noticed some adhesive/label removers being sold at places like Staples or Office Depot. Anyone have any opinions on those?

    Thanks for the help!

There is a citrus based cleaner called GOO GONE in most stores that will work well for you. It won't harm the dvd plastic. Once all the glue is gone clean with alcohol.
