    there could be many reasons why your Disk-at-once didn't burn or finalize! If you are burning on the fly, what are you burning? Is it a copy of a movie or is it a movie itself? you give very little information and to give a precise explanation I would need more information from you. tell us what you are copying and also copy and past your Nero log so we can examin what was being done and how you were doing it!

    - update to latest, 6.6.0.16

    - firmware's about 13months old, latest, B7W9 is here - http://support.benq.com/front/BenqM...langu=null&ops=2756&GenMenu=&RootId=undefined if that horrible looking link doesn't work, try this - http://support.benq.com/files/storage/Firmware/DVDRW/DW1620/B7W9.zip

    - sufficient total memory, but you're gonna have to free up more memory prior all to burns by closing down more programs

    - firmware's out of date as media not recognised properly, when firmware's updated, this should be a 3liner similar to this -
    - splat!, see previous comments

    - update to latest, 6.6.0.16

    - sufficient total memory, but you're gonna have to free up more memory prior all to burns by closing down more programs

    - right... your firmware's now real up to date but burner still isn't detecting what media you have, so the media must be newer than your firmware knows what to do with, and/or you're using media that's higher speed-rated than your burner can support.

    download dvd identifier (free) - http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/dvd_tools/dvd_identifier.cfm and 'identify' that media and paste details here....we're not gonna make much progress until your burner can detect the media...

    - splat!

    @mbrownab -

    hiya. we need the dvd identifier to 'identify' one of those discs you're trying to burn to, to establish what exact disc manufacturer they are, the speed etc, as your burner's firmware can't recognise the discs, hence you're gonna keep having sporadic/or zero success. as i said, the firmware's right up to date and it's a popular burner so the media must be newer than your firmware knows what to do with, and/or you're using media that's higher speed-rated than your burner can support.

    insert one of those discs, run the proggy, click on the 'identify' button and paste the results here, we can then make recommendations on what media you should be using
