No, nothings come out yet, bungie hasnt even admited they are making Halo 3 yet.

Hi apparently this is a small piece of footage from Halo 3, although there are also people who are just saying its from Halo 2. Personally i think its fron Halo 2, but just thought id post it here anyway.

Seriously now, how hard is it to check two threads instead of just one? They're both stickied right at the top right next to each other.

I'm in the postition where folks will complain no matter what I decide regarding these Halo threads. The last one I created had become way too long and was actually harder for many folks because of the fact that some were talking Halo 2 in the midst of others talking Halo 3 so now we have a fresh thread for each version of the game in order to stay more on topic.

I just hope that Bungie will take into consideration all the mistakes they made in Halo 2. I hope they listen to the gamers who have brilliant ideas on how to fix balance issues and whatnot. I hope to god they take the time to see why some many people felt alienated by Halo 2 and fix what did that.

What I am hoping for in Halo 3...is the perfect Halo. Halo: CE was good, but it was lacking in VERY few spots. Halo 2 expanded on the gameplay and added in some new features, but was also lacking in some spots. Halo 3 should be a seemless and perfect pinnicle of what Halo should be.

That is what I am hoping for. But anything will make me happy.

any news about the graphics being any different from halo 2 yet? im glad we split these halo chats, it was getting way too long on the halo2/3 chat

Halo 3 should have a level equavalent of The Silent Cartogropher with a D-Day style entrence on the island followed by the perfect balance of indoor and outdoor warthog action. Also, there needs to be more urban levels like metropolis.

It would be awesome if they had a Battlefield version of Halo where you could play the solo-game, have the current multiplayer, and then have one where you are basically playing in the Halo world like in the solo game but with EVERYONE online being able to play. Not just small scenes.

hey you know how halo was combat evolved and halo 2 was (someone told me this) strategy evolved what do you htink halo 3 will be?
and i want way more urban levels

area 1 - graphics
area 2 - gameplay
area 3 - multiplayer
area 4 - xbox 360 live
area 5 - storyline

Well i suppose we already know that it will be in HD. So there will be obvious and dramatic graphical improvements. However lets hope they dont just pin their hopes on the graphics been great. Many of the best games in the history of gaming havent had good graphics for obvious reasons. But it just goes to show that many games that are coming out now are simply built to impress soley on its graphical ability. I hope halo 3 has good graphics however i would prefer brilliant gameplay.

I must agree. Graphics aren't as important as the actually gameplay. Take Halo 1 and 2 for instance. The fact that the person is so manueverable, that you can jump and turn and crouch and you have so much control over the guy's movements, makes the game for me. Now take the Tom Clancy games--I thought they sucked for the most part. You didn't have as much control over the character. Not as much freedom.

This is like the Sierra games of the 1980's. I loved King's Quest, Police Quest, Leisure Suit Larry on my Apple IIe. This is when you could walk your guy around and type in commands for action. But then they started making so-called fancie graphics and took away the ability to walk the person around as much. This sucked.

So same here--improve the graphics, but don't sacrifice the actual gameplay.

in halo 2 i thought the whole game was good and it worked really well on live. just maybe make the campaign a little or a lot longer. the story was good tho

now yall said we knoiw it will be in HD, yet we rewally dont. we can assume but im not even sure MS has ne HD games lined up for a while. im prolly wrong. it will definitly be graphically enhanced but HD might be a stretch for bungie. besides im sure there are more people that have tvs w/o hd capability then people that do. so, in my opinion, why spend more money to make it HD to please 40%(just a random #) of the players.

On the xbox 360 announcement they said that every game on the xbox 360 will be HD. But can be played fine on tv's not supporting HD.

What about area 3 and 4, will it be a littlebit better or a LOT better!

Yeah I saw that too. Theyre all made to be HD and non-HD compatible. Thats good for me cos Ive got a HD tv upstains and normal definition tv downstairs.

I'm not sure i have HD compatible.... I just want Halo 3 asap, when this game is released it's gonna define gaming, atleast i hope.

As much as I love the TSC level I wouldn’t like it to be attempted again on Halo 3. It would either make the original look better because the Halo 3 version would be crap, or it would make the TSC level on Halo 1 look bad because the Halo 3 version would be better. I'd prefer bungie to go for something new; something original. I'm sick and tired of games that appear to be copied and pasted with minor details changed. Halo 2 was pretty much completely different from Halo 1. This was however a bad thing in my opinion. They changed too much. Including the arbiter as a PC was a totally wrong move in my opinion, as the player is torn between two characters and beliefs in the game and therefore doesn’t really have any sense of direction when playing the game. Id like to see Halo 3 to resemble Halo 1 as a "standard", taking into account the actual game play rather than just graphics. I would also like to see some new and original ideas (like Halo 3, but not to the detriment of the game play like in Halo 3 lol) to be incorporated into it as well.
