I get half way through the process and then the buffer unloads and the process fails. It's not media related because I have tried a few different discs with the same outcome. I reinstalled Nero and reinstalled the newest firmware. Tried removing and reinstalling the drive also! Here is the log, please take a look and see what yall think. Thanks for the reply.. I tried both with the same results. I had already burned roughly 10 CDs from the same spindle before this started and perhaps 40 DVDs from another spindle. I agree that I might use better media but in this case I think my problem is elsewhere. How about the driver, does it look current? I'll go ahead and try 8X because at 16x it took longer to fail.
