how do i turn a video clip into a playable DVD?

    i got a video clip i want to put on a DVD to play on home dvd player. what do i gotta do to make it work? or what do i need?

    from what i know there is something odd here?

    ifo file carry navigation structure like menus stuff i think and are very small compared to vobs (video)

    for a dvd structure you should have vob/ifo/bup

    it sounds like if you truly have 1 file and its IFO it may of been renamed? from avi or something?????????????????

    load that file to gspot and tell me what it says! also try avicodec and tell me what it says?

    could try right clicking on the file and check properties of the file??????

    ok it somehow got changed, its a mpeg movie about 4 gig. i got nero burn software. i used the minidvd option and burned it but it took over 3 hours to get 2 4 gig files to burn. is there a way that decrypter can burn it?

    i would use tmpgenc dvd author on an mpeg or mainconcept encoder

    most here use divxtodvd

    Hi Rotary, sorry to barge in but its related to TMPGE.. I have my video on HD but cant seem to get over to TMPGE prog. Is there any MAGIC formula you use the video is 4.57g and TMPGE says its too big??

    4.7 gig of what? mpeg?

    mpeg use ADD-FILE

    vob/ifo/bup use ADD-VIDEO

    also you may need to set the output size in presferences to 8.5 dual layer to load it! (as this app doesnt compress!!!)

    Hi Rotary, yep its mpeg I just noticed settings at bottom so I will give it another go (after my compulsary daily walk) I'll let you know how i go.
