The problem i am having is with Nero Recode 2 version 2.2.6.17, first i open Nero Recode 2.2.6.17 and sellect any of the options (Recode an Entire DVD to DVD, Recode Main Movie to DVD, Remake a DVD, Recode DVDs and Videos to Nero Digital or Recode Main Movie to Nero Digital) then when i sellect the option (Import DVD) Nero Recode 2.2.6.17 stops responding and won't import the DVD i have inserted into my ASUS DVD-E616P3.
I don,t get any error message at all and i can,t close Nero Recode 2.2.6.17 even if i use (Windows Task Manager) and sellect (End Task), it also prevents me from using other applications.
I have one ASUS DVD-E616P3 with firmware version 1.07 and two SONY DVD RW DRU-800A's with firmware version KY05 but i don't have any problem when i use my SONY DVD RW DRU-800A's and the problem only accurs when i use my ASUS DVD-E616P3 to import a DVD.
I have a program installed by Slysoft called (AnyDVD) version 5.4.4.1, if i uninstall this program and then use the (Driver CleanTool and RegistryChecker) from the Nero website i am able to import DVDs with Nero Recode 2.2.6.17 using my ASUS DVD-E616P3, but as soon as i install AnyDVD the problem returns.
Every application i have installed on my system work with my ASUS DVD-E616P3 without any problems what so ever even when AnyDVD is installed including all the applications that are included in Nero 6 Reloaded version 6.6.0.16 with the exception of Nero Recode 2.2.6.17 that is included in Nero 6 Reloaded 6.6.0.16.

    Thanks for any help!

Just to be clear. It it that AnyDVD is simply installed in the system or is it when AnyDVD is running that the ASUS problem appears.

The problem only appears when AnyDVD is installed on the system even when AnyDVD has been disabled.

DVD43, I think, performs in a similar manner to AnyDVD - in the background.
