Hi There. I am a newbie here and at cpoying films to disk so please be a bit understanding if I ask something really stupid. I have dowloadedsome films which I can watch on my PC no problems. Now I would like to burn them to disk so that I can watch them on a dvd player. I printed off instructions on this web site, AVI files to DVD with Avi2DVD. This seems to have worked okay. Then I went to use DVD Decrypter to burn this to disk. However, it is now that I get a problem. I follw the instructions untill it comes to burn the disk. It says Device not ready (Medium not present) What does this mean? Could it be the discs I am trying to burn onto? If someone can help it would be great. Thanks for the help, Uzi.
i am a real newbie as well, but i get that if i forget to put a disc in the tray, that i want the copy on ! perhaps you need to try a different make of disc !
By the sound of things you've done ok up to final stage, normally you strike any errors before this. What medium are you burning to?
To burn with DVD Decrypter, the files need to be in ISO format. If they are in a different format such as VOB you will need a program such as Nero to burn the files. Also ensure you are using good quality media (e.g. Verbatim, Ritek, TY's etc.)
Hi. Thanks for the help so far. The discs I have tried so far are DVD R Datwrite Red 4.7GB General purpose 8xDVD-R, and some cheap and nasty Budget DVD-R 4.7GB. Does this help?
hi use dvd indentifer or dvdinfo pro or dvd decrypter to tell us the media id codes off the discs (not brand as such).
hi sorry it may not read? but go to iso write and then look at info filled window you may need a update to the firmware of your drive to aid reading new discs?

Hi. In the top box it states, No Supported Drives Found. There is no other relevent information like on yours. It must be a drive problem for some reason?
