Hi Hope i've got this in the right forum I've got some DVDs i've downloaded and also some video from our camcorder that plays fine on my PC Whenever i burn this to a DVD the playback on my DVD player and through PC is choppy , jerky and shows marks on it and freezes every so often I've tried a new IDE cable to my DVD writter but still get the same.. AM using Nero 6 to burn and writting at 2x speed with no other apps running. Not sure why this is happening or what else I can change and need some advice
the files play ok on my pc.. and i've used a few different programs to convert stuff.. i've even tried some vob files i've got off the internet all play fine on the pc it's only after burning them... i've got a few m-peg 2 files so i know they are fine it must be something to do with the DVD writter or something
i've got some Mirro Platinum DCD-R discs branded as 4x and i am burning at 2x.. will try some different brands DVDs in the week when i buy some more
hi use dvd identifier to tell us the media ID code off the discs, not so much brand names they dont mean much, but i never heard of thoses?
thanks for the info.. yes thy are cheap and were free with the writter.. i guess now i know why where can i get the ones you said.. was going to buy some Sony or TDK discs and test them out first
hi USA i think they use bestbuy? or newegg? UK = http://www.blankdiscshop.co.uk <-- (highly recommended by me!!!)
well just to test this out i got some TDK discs from HMV and the one i've tried so far is working fine.. will get some of them Ritek discs you recommended and ditch the free ones i got with the drive thanks for all the help
Stay away from TDK dvd+r media. The dvd-r's should be fine as well as Sony dvd+r's and dvd-r's. If you order online verbatum and taiyo yuden are most highly recommended. Good online stores include supermediastore.com, rima.com, newegg.com, and meritline.com. Mort
