    Hi Everyone,

So I've been having problems with my Philips DVD8421 so I've been doing some research. Not only does it not burn DVD+R now, it doesn't seem to want to burn anything through any program. I tried making an audio cd through ITunes and came across an Error 4450, to which I did a search on and found that other people have come across the same problem. In fact, someone has the exact same problem - after updating ITunes, they cannot burn anything, through any burning program, even after uninstalling ITunes.

So, I thought I would try to make some Recovery Disks through my computer, but low and behold, they won't burn! The box that says "Send to Microsoft", you know, about your problem, and it said something about "fdsoft~1.dll". I don't know what this is, or if it's just something wrong.

I can't reformat my computer because I don't have the disks! Argh! Help, please!!!!!!!!!

I would reformat my hard drive, but I don't have the Recovery Disks to do so?!?!?!?!?!?!!

Is there somewhere I can do this anyways (ie. when I start up my computer)?

I have had the computer since Christmas, so almost 12 months. It won't go past September...
