    Hey All,

I've got a bunch of concert DVDs that I would like to rip the audio and convert to MP3. Is there any freeware out there to do that? I'm using DVD Decrypter does that have this functionality?

    Thanks,

    G

DVD audio is usually in ac3. You can try using DVD Decrypter in File Mode. I do not know how concert DVDs are set up, so you might as well just select all VOB files. Once you do that, right click and select "stream processing...".

DVDD will search for different streams. It will tell you here what type of audio you have. Click on it and select "Demux". Click OK and DVD Decrypter will begin ripping your DVD, only it will extract the audio separately.

After it is finished extracting you will have your .vob file and a .ac3 file. The ac3 is your audio. You will then need to download Besweet: http://besweet.notrace.dk/

Besweet is a good and free encoder. You will also need to get a GUI and the proper plugins which can all be found at the same site. This will be able to convert into .mp3 or almost any other format.
