Good afternoon. I was having a nightmare of a time trying to get a friends XBOX off of error code 16. I installed an old executer 2 pro of mine. Everything was working. Fine. For some reason The hard drive accidentally touched the fan and there XBOX just turned off. There was obviously a short. There was no flash, no burning smell, no smoke, and no signs of major trauma. Also, the HD powers up in other XBOXs but I cant get the xbox to turn on. Please advise me as to what to look for or what I can do. I had everything working fine. Thank you.
You may have fried the fuse in the power supply. Of course I can't see it so I wouldn't know but if you can, try to swap the power supply with another xbox's temporarily to see if it works again. If it does, problem solved...hit up eBay for a new purchase and win the bid. If it's jus a fuse and you know how to desolder/solder...go that router...probably much cheaper although, the last PSU I bought on eBay was about $20 w/shipping.
