Hi all.

Eric here.

Just having a look around the site and I have a few questions. I will be getting the swap magic 3.6 disks this week and I have a v12 slim line ps2.

1. Will changing the book type of my backup ps2 games to dvd ROM’s (using dvd+r media) have any advantage over using dvd-r media and keeping the book type as dvd-r.

2. I have an NEC 3520a drive with firmware 1.4 i have downloaded the official v3.4 firmware update. I am wondering will this v3.4 update allow me to use dvd+r disks and change the book type to the "dvd-ROM" book type (using decriptor to burn it).

3. The first game I want to backup is me original copy of the PAL version of Tekken 5. I have downloaded the USA fix for Tekken 5 and I was wondering would it work with Tekken 5. if anyone with a pal copy has managed to burn an fully working backup of Tekken 5 Pal version i would greatly appreciate feedback on what programmes they used and what patches-fixes had to be applied. bearing in mind i will be using swap magic 3.6 disks with a v12 slim line ps2.

just dont t5 doont need to patch PAL version works fine with out it and im using 3.0

the only way to know is to try changing it.
I have heard it will help on +R media
