yo im kinda confused wit ur tutorial because i dont know wat ur talkin about wit the xbins and i cant find the 2 splinter cell things u posted there i only have 7 of them called LINUX_PROFILE and only one of the work. But when i use it i go to checkpoints and then it says error 21. I cant get past there and all these tut's r so damn confusing, i dont know all this terminalogy.

o i figured it out, there was LINUX_PROFILE and there was linux installer, i had to have both of them on my harddrive then it runs the program.
yo my Xbox went completely crazy, my IP address is all messed up and i cant get on xbox live. I restored my backup but it is still really wierd. Is there a place i can find out where my IP is.
what do you mean by and ya you wont be able to go on xboxlive when you mod your xbox weather its hardmod or softmod, u can try but im 80%sure that you will get banned.
but from wat i've seen, some of my modder friends (i dont play with them i'm legit) they have been banned from matchmaking and they can still play in customs. I dont want to cheat i want to do the custom game mods. So if u can help me it would be sick.
i found my problem. When i had first run LinuxInstaller it had changed my IP address and i couldnt sign onto xbox live. before i installed a dashboard, i would just go to the MS dashboard and the linux thing would have changed my IP addresses from automatic to maunal and it had a different IP then i would change it back to automatic and it wouldn't show wat automatic was and then when i tried to use linux installer again it would change it again. how can i stop it from changing?
i got all this crap to work and now i have a new problem. i followed a modding tut for AA and super jump and stuff like that. but now when i go to load the map it says You Failed to Load the Map. I read somewhere that u need to do fix encription in dothalo but it still failed after that. CAN SOMEONE HELP ME.
yes you NEED to fix encryption, its the only way the modded maps would work. so what exactly did you do, was it some thing like this- ftp to computer(map) opened up dothalo opened the map in dothalo did the modding saved the changes fixed then encryption ftp back to xbox ... if you did some thing like that then im sure that the modded maps will work.
i did exactly that and then i tried them again... AND THEY STILL FAILED!!!! this is so freakin gay..... is there more than one way to encript a modded map?
yes you should get back your original maps. yes there is another programe which will fix the encryption, encryptomatic. you can get this program from halomaps.com its under xbox programs and halo 2. why dont you delete halo 2 in your hdd and copy it again. and try what i wrote.
well im not sure if you can mod with the disk. but i think you should have enough space in your hdd even if its stock. but if you have all the 9 new maps THEN you might not have enough space, in that case what i did was, i took out some of the original maps which came with halo2 game(the useless ones like waterworks) if you do that then you might have enough space for the halo 2 game an the 9 new multiplayer maps.
