I usually shrink then burn with decrypter. I've never had a problem doing it that way. Until now I'm trying to burn Sisterhood of traveling Pants and Halloweentown High. I'm able to shrink but I get an error when it's trying to burn. Has anyone had the same problem with either of these movie's? Does anyone have any suggestions?

Is it erroring out during the actual burn or just as it starts to burn? Look at dye side of disc to see if actually burned.

Did you change anything with your blank media like different spindles/brands/or format between the time you were successful to now?

Download this free handy program and tell us: Disc ID code/burner model#/and the burners firmware version:

Traveling pants isn't due out till next week so I don't know what type of encryption is on it. Haven't heard of holloween town high.If you successfully got dvd shrink to encode to your hard drive, then more likely it's a media issue. Most likely firmware,or crappy media. That info from dvdidentifier will tell us.

The Sisterhood Of The Traveling Pants was released by Warner Bros. Isn't Warner Bros. owned by Sony? If this is the case, maybe they put the same encryption on the Sisterhood DVD like they did with Lords of Dogtown.
Halloweentown High was released by Disney/Buena Vista. I've never had any problems ripping any Disney releases, although I never tried this one.
